Brett Elliott is a shareholder in the Seattle, Washington office of Karr Tuttle Campbell, a leading Pacific Northwest full-service law firm.

Brett’s practice focuses on healthcare regulatory compliance to ensure healthcare providers comply with federal and state regulatory requirements and have policies, practices, and programs in place to maintain compliance. She regularly advises clients on a variety of healthcare matters, including compliance with fraud and abuse, physician self-referral, privacy and security, corporate practice of medicine, and other laws and regulations governing the provision of health care services. She also assists clients with various transactional matters, including provider contracts, payor contracts, services agreements, and assessing healthcare regulatory risks in mergers and acquisitions. Brett holds the Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) credential from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

Brett also advises healthcare providers and other clients in employment matters, including employment and separation agreements, non-competition/non-solicit/ confidentiality agreements, arbitration agreements, wage and hour, and leave benefits, and represents employers in employment disputes, including discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination.

Prior to joining KTC, Brett was a trial attorney in the Civil Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, Washington, D.C.  In that capacity, she led several healthcare investigations and litigated cases under the False Claims Act.  These matters involved alleged violations of the federal Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, and Medicare and Medicaid regulations governing hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, behavioral healthcare facilities, home health care, and other healthcare providers.
