We have successfully represented healthcare clients in professional medical liability cases, employment issues, fraud and abuse allegations, medical staff fair hearings, civil enforcement proceedings, criminal investigations, licensing and disciplinary matters, third party payor disputes and audits, Section 501(c)(3) issues, and regulatory compliance. We regularly represent clients in investigations, in litigation and on appeal.
We help clients navigate applicable federal and state regulations (including HIPAA, the Affordable Care Act, the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act, the False Claims Act, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and RICO). We provide advice concerning policies, billing codes and compliance issues that often serve as the basis of healthcare litigation in the everchanging minefield of healthcare regulations. Most fundamentally, we have established long-term relationships with our clients helping them navigate these issues so that they can give their focus to the provision of quality healthcare in their community.
Myers Brier & Kelly, LLP was formed in 1995 by a group of like-minded attorneys with a vision of providing top-notch legal services, competitive with the best in the Commonwealth, without the impediments inherent in a larger law firm.
In MBK, they established a firm with the ability to provide sophisticated, collaborative legal advice to a broad spectrum of clients while maintaining the personal connection that they and their clients value. MBK attorneys are accessible to their clients, and, unencumbered by bureaucratic structures, they operate efficiently and they react quickly to changes in the legal and economic landscape.
In its 25 years of providing legal services throughout Pennsylvania, MBK has actively and successfully worked to preserve its original vision, earning a reputation for excellence across the Commonwealth and beyond. Each of its partners is rated a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer.
With the addition of experienced practitioners from both the public and private sector, the firm has further expanded its capabilities and client base. As the legal market evolves, MBK’s agility and emphasis on technology has enabled it to keep pace, and indeed lead, its competitors into new practice areas. MBK continues to leverage its resources and talent within an efficient cost structure to provide true value-added legal services. This has led to multi-decade relationships with clients who view MBK as an indispensable member of their personal and business advisory team.
